How We Do It

One area of interest to clients—yet rarely answered fully on a company’s website—is the simple request “tell us how you work with your clients.”

We develop projects for our clients based on four working principles:

1) We Provide a Firm Budget Based on a Detailed Proposal
Internet companies are infamous for open-ended quotes with minimal specifics, but we feel that our clients are served best by providing a firm budget based on a detailed proposal. We feel that this is a prerequisite for providing the best work possible. Except in the rarest of cases, GSC does not charge a fee for proposal development.

2) We Manage Projects Vigorously
Once project specification and budget and have been defined, GSC engages in continuous and communicative project management, working with clients to monitor the creative components, programming, and timeframe on an ongoing basis. Progress is graphically tracked, and any potential cost implications are identified clearly, and with the largest range of resolution choices. Our commitment during any project development process is simple: “No Surprises”.

3) We Develop Project Components Synchronously
Clients often begin by asking us “will this project take as long as our last web project with our previous vendor? It seemed as though each stage took forever.”
Once a blueprint has been approved, an organized enterprise can simultaneously develop both the visual components and the programming elements of a web project. Synchronous development requires strong project management skills. GSC projects proceed through detailed planning, followed by teams working concurrently on the many components of a project. The result is a faster, more integrated project.

4) Thorough Review and Approval Processes
Astonishingly, many web projects are planned and visualized in crude Powerpoint or storyboard form, and only arrive at the “clickable playable” phase when finished. Inevitably, actually using the product reveals the need for changes that would have been obvious had the project been functional earlier. Our review and process constructs most project elements directly on the web, so that our clients can see and operate the project as it comes together.
